The Ocala Jockey Club 3-Day International Event is a stepping stone to riders seeking to qualify for 4* competitions around the world. The Individual Bronze Medal rider from the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, Phillip Dutton, competed at the 2017 Event, indicating the caliber of competition to expect here.
Hat Day during horse races!
Along with big horse racing, there is another spectacle to wonder – big hats! The Florida sunshine is so bright we need glamorous hats to show off. If you are into modern and hip styles, show off what you’ve got. And if odd and weird is what strikes your fancy, we can’t wait to see your creativity at work. All the fun is slated for Saturday, November 17th. There will be prizes for the top entries!

Sunday November 18th, the Family Focus Day of the Ocala Jockey Club International 3-Day Event
Some of the family activities to include:
- Bouncy horse races
- Stick horse races and jump courses
- Musical chairs
- Arts and crafts area
- Face painting
- Balloon dart game
- Knock bottles over game
- Educational area with horse and pony – Teaching parts of and tack pieces
- Equine Simulator for kids to try riding on a mechanical horse
Family activities to enhance the already action-packed 3-Day event. The activities will include horse themed games, scavenger hunt and other games and prizes.
